The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic, technical environments and have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-border projects. This is a key opportunity to join a leading player in the industrial refrigeration sector, managing large-scale projects across South Africa and East Africa.Responsbilities:

Lead the planning and delivery of ammonia refrigeration projects from start to finish
Coordinate teams and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and performance standards
Oversee both mechanical and electrical workstreams
Manage procurement, delivery timelines, and material readiness
Collaborate with engineering teams on designs and technical specs
Maintain accurate records and prepare full project handover files
Track budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure timely invoicing
Identify cost variances and proactively manage risks
Build trusted relationships with clients
Develop project proposals and quotations tailored to their needs
Identify future opportunities for business growth
Plan and execute final commissioning with service teams
Ensure performance meets technical and compliance requirements

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience managing industrial ammonia refrigeration projects
Engineering qualification: Diploma, B-Tech, or Degree
Skilled in reading P&IDs and electrical wiring diagrams
Strong understanding of QHSE standards, risk management & method statements
Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
Excellent communication, reporting, and proposal writing skills
Valid driver's license and passport
Willingness to travel across South Africa and East Africa

Nice-to-Haves: Knowledge of SANS 10147, pressure equipment regulations, and AIA inspections
SAQCC Gas CAT A (SARACCA) certification
Familiarity with refrigeration thermodynamicsHow To Apply:
