Johannesburg - Gauteng - South AfricaAre you a supply chain professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering operational excellence?Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on driving customer service excellence, optimising inventory and logistics processes, and leading teams through transformation. You will play a critical role in ensuring product availability, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining alignment with global supply chain strategies.Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Customer Service team to deliver seamless, KPI-driven support.
  • Foster collaboration within the team, ensuring a high-performance environment.
  • Drive sales follow-up, order management, and adherence to pricing policies and procedures.
  • Align inventory targets with customer service goals while minimising write-offs.
  • Monitor stock levels, review KPIs, and address financial deviations.
  • Identify supply and logistics risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage 3PL warehouse and transport providers, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Track and improve shipping costs, proactively resolving risks and delays.
  • Partner with management and cross-functional teams (Sales, S&OP, Finance, Warehousing, Legal).
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards, quality controls, and international regulatory requirements governing warehousing and logistics
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, and customer service.
  • Minimum of 3 years people management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of SAP
  • Strong leadership, change management, and process optimisation skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
