We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead new client acquisition efforts and foster long-term, solution-focused relationships with key industry stakeholders. This newly created role is crucial to driving the company's growth strategy by targeting potential markets and establishing a strong client base across various industries that rely on pigment solutions, such as manufacturing, automotive, plastics, and coatings.Key Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development: Proactively identify, engage, and secure new clients across target industries to expand the company’s market presence in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs, challenges, and business objectives, and delivering tailored pigment solutions.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share. Track sales performance against targets and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, emerging markets, and customer needs within the pigment sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Collaborate with the product development team to ensure a thorough understanding of the company's pigment solutions and their applicability to client industries.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with prospective clients to secure profitable contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, product development, and customer service) to ensure client needs are met with a high level of service and product quality.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the pigment, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of pigment applications and solutions, or the ability to quickly learn technical product details.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel across Sub-Saharan Africa as needed.
