Northern Suburbs, Cape Town - Western Cape - South AfricaWe are seeking a SHE Officer to ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and hazard-free workplace. This is a hands-on role for a safety professional committed to operational excellence.Minimum Requirements:
- Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent
- Health & Safety qualification (essential)
- Minimum 5 years experience in a SHE role
- Pharma or FMCG experience with GMP exposure
- Conduct routine safety checks and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act and all safety legislation
- Investigate incidents, manage IOD reporting and COID claims
- Maintain the H&S management system and audit compliance
- Manage PPE, emergency procedures, waste streams and HSE permits
- Chair safety meetings and present toolbox talks and induction training
- Oversee contractor safety, HIRA processes, and monthly safety statistics
