An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the IT Department to manage exciting projects that have a material impact on the WCBS and its mission to deliver a safe and reliable blood supply.Main purpose of the role:Reporting to the IT Client Services Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of IT projects that are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.Key Responsibilities:
Delivering projects in line with the WCBS Project Methodology
Tracking and reporting of project progress
Assisting in defining scope and objectives
Leading cross functional project teams and co-ordinating project team members
Development and management of project plans including work/task schedules
RAID Management
Developing and executing organisational change management
Managing project budgets
Facilitating and presenting to project boards
Provide project consulting & support to the business, IT and project teams
Take on a leadership role within the IT Client Services Team
Minimum requirements and experience:
National Diploma or Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science
PRINCE 2 Practitioner / PMP Certifications
ITIL V3 Foundation (or better) Certification is advantageous
7 years’ experience in ICT
Minimum 3 years in a dedicated project management role
5 years’ experience in software development project management
Exposure to Agile development projects would be advantageous
Valid Code B driver’s license without endorsements is essential
