Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with a GCC Factories Certificate and a proven track record in high-volume manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will have a BTech or BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and extensive leadership experience in brownfield and greenfield projects as well as utilities maintenance.Industry Experience Required:
- FMCG manufacturing and/or sugar milling
- High-volume production environments with complex engineering systems
- Utilities management, including boilers, refrigeration, water treatment, and electrical reticulation
- GCC Factories (non-negotiable)
- BTech or BEng Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- South African only
- 3 to 6+ years’ engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record in leading and executing large-scale brownfield and greenfield projects
- Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance systems
- Exceptional leadership, budgeting, and project management skills
- Oversee the engineering function, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with statutory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, safety standards, and equipment reliability
- Manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and project timelines
- Plan, budget, and execute plant upgrades, expansions, and maintenance shutdowns
- Ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of utilities and infrastructure
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability
