The following vacancy is available: Assistant Guesthouse Manager.Responsibilities and Duties:Maintaining accurate stock controls on food & Beverage and Rooms stock items.
Design menus for functions and conferences
Assist Guesthouse Manager with reservations for Guesthouse and Functions
Maintain best guest service standards at all times
Assist Guesthouse Manager in creating memorable moments
Interact with guests
Assist Guesthouse Manager with daily management of staff – housekeeping and groundkeepers
Make reservations on the property management system
Assist Guesthouse manager with guest arrivals and checkouts
Train staff in food preparation
Report any faults on property to Guesthouse manager
Sourcing quality food ingredients at affordable prices
Stand in for Guesthouse manager when he is off property or on leave
Oversee laundry at main house and self-catering units
Ensure overall tidiness of property including garden
Willing to work over weekends
Must be able to live on property due to nature of service deliveryQualifications and Skills:Minimum 5 years relevant experience within the hospitality/catering industry and/or qualification in Hospitality.
Passion for hospitality industry
Must be able to work irregular hours
Valid driver’s licence
Work well within a team and be able to be managed and follow instructions from manager
Ability to work long hours on your feet
Must have exceptional hygiene habits
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity at all time
High level of emotional intelligence working with colleagues and guests
