- Must have a four-year teaching degree (Bachelor of Education in Intermediate Phase) from a recognized institution,
- Knowledge of working with children at Intermediate and Senior Phase level,
- A passion for teaching, strong classroom management skills and a basic understanding of the development of Intermediate Phase children,
- Must be computer literate,
- Must be willing to engage in the school's full programme, including all after hours and extra-curricular activities and Sport,
- An unwavering commitment to working as part of an accomplished team,
- A commitment to on-going personal and professional development,
- An awareness of the underlying ethos and vision of the school,
- Be willing to get a police clearance certificate and must have a clear criminal record,
- Must have a full, current SACE Registration,
- Must have an excellent command of the English language,
- Experience in teaching Afrikaans as FAL highly advantageous,
- Ability to teach Music across Grades 0 to 7 beneficial,
- Must have at least 3 years Intermediate Phase teaching experience.
