Grow and supply a diverse range of ingredients aligned with seasonal menus and culinary direction
Collaborate closely with chefs to plan crop rotations, harvest timing, and creative use of whats thriving
Maintain beautiful, thriving garden spaces that guests move through and connect with daily
Balance the big picture with hands-on rigour, caring for plants, systems, tools and fellow growers and team members
Plan farming activities using budgeting techniques to achieve production targets as set by management
Develop and implement management practices (including pruning, canopy management, crop control, post-harvest activities, block maintenance and a soil management programme)
Basic farming tasks related to livestock
Manage the irrigation schedule to ensure optimal crop production
Work within best practice biodiverse environmental guidelines
Ensure all relevant company policies are understood and adhered to
Assist in and manage any non-viticulture farming activities as required from time to time by management
All other tasks related to the position.Requirements:Grade 12
Relevant training / qualification in Farming Management.
At least 5-8 years experience in a similar role (experience in an organic environment advantageous).
Strong communication skills (Afrikaans & English).
