Job Summary This role is suited for someone with a minimum of 3 years' working experience in a tax and accounting environment, particularly in Individual and Company taxes.This is not a training role - you need to be ready to get to work on day one, no handholding required. Key Responsibilities: Completion and submission of Income Tax Returns Evaluate and check tax assessments for accuracy Liaise directly with SARS consultants and attend meetings when required Handle tax queries and error resolution with SARS, including refund matters Manage tax compliance, including SARS deadlines, payment processes, and record-keeping Perform provisional tax calculations and submissions Administer donations tax and foreign investment tax clearance certificates Handle VAT and PAYE registrations, tax directives, and related processes Submit requests for suspension of payment, objections, and appeals Apply working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and Tax Administration Act Communicate effectively with clients on all tax-related matters Provide general tax support and assist with ad hoc tax tasks Oversee and check annual financial statements prepared by junior staff Assist with tax clearance applications and maintain good standing with SARS Handle administrative tasks such as managing correspondence and appointments with SARS Collaborate and provide support to other team members as needed Work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality
