A leading insurance company is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Underwriter with strong experience in the binder space, preferably with knowledge of Cardinal360 software, to join their team in Fourways. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Underwriter to drive growth by identifying and securing new business, while also maintaining existing client relationships and closing deals. Analyse, evaluate, and underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring risks align with company guidelines.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders to drive business growth.
Make sound risk and pricing decisions, negotiating terms and conditions to secure profitable business.
Act as a mentor and referral point for less experienced underwriters, providing technical guidance and support.
Ensure all underwriting decisions and processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Accurately enter and maintain records in company systems.
Handle administrative tasks related to policies, endorsements, and renewals.

Requirements:

RE 5 + NQF 5
A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, specifically in a binder environment.
Compulsory knowledge of Cardinal360 software.
