Senior: Franchise Manager - JD Sports

- To translate the broader JD Sports strategy into priorities and objectives for the South African business.
- To act as the main channel of communication between JD Sports and TFG.
- To lead and deliver on the JD Sports strategy by managing and coordinating a multifunctional team to execute set functional objectives and targets.
- Monitor results and steer the business and team to attain success. Maximise team performance through ensuring the best use and allocation of resources.
- To optimise business profitability across omni channel retailing, through superior customer and employee experiences leveraging of, data informed decision making, a strong stable supply chain, and processes for an efficient flow of goods from concept to consumer
- To optimise and deliver on all set KPI's which include:
- Financial targets
- Budget forecasting, control, and expense management
- Inventory management
- E-Commerce trading targets
- Customer acquisition, location, and expansion strategy
- To build and maintain strong relationships with JD partners, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders that align to our purpose and values
- Ensure alignment and compliance to JD Sports standards, policies and procedures
- Minimum 8 years working experience at a management level, preferably with cross functional experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Exceptional financial acumen, analytical ability, and a solid understanding of the retail business mechanics that drive all KPIs
- Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- High resilience and agility with the ability to work well under pressure and deliver to aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to drive change, persuade and influence both internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to motivate a cross functional team and a talent pipeline
- Applies market and business insights in order to drive organisational objectives
