Location: PretoriaFunction: Roads and HighwaysREPORTS TO: Section Manager or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.PRIMARY POSITION PURPOSEThis position is responsible for the technical design of projects within the section and will be required to provide assistance to Engineers.The ResponsibilitiesDraft technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational qualityLead a small team of Technicians/Draughtsmen on a projectQuery details suggesting more acceptable solutionsAble to present / represent his/ her specific technical work (presentations/ meetings)Familiar with work proceduresResponsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and costDevelop understanding of local functional business technologies and marketsAbility to check and inspect constructed works for compliance to design and specifications with moderate supervisionAwareness of time and cost implications on projectsAssist with straightforward bidsTrain Technicians/Draughtsmen in relevant software toolsManage meeting schedule and agendas and compile minutesProviding assistance to Engineers with regards to checking of technical designsCompleting technical duties as directed by the Engineer inclusive of design, costing and specificationsQuality and ProfessionalismAwareness of time and deadlinesRecommended Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceB. ENG or B.
