- Minimum qualification: Matric with an additional certificate in basic meat preparation or a related field.
- Must have a driver's license.
- Good understanding of stock-taking processes.
- Accurately cut, trim, debone, and grind meats.
- Prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by customers.
- Ensure correct weighing, pricing, and labelling of products.
- Vacuum pack and display meat on the sales floor.
- Rotate stock regularly and check food sell-by and expiry dates.
- Perform daily quality inspections on meat.
- Maintain product traceability by updating the cutting schedule file daily.
- Comply with Health & Safety and Food Standards.
- Clean equipment correctly and maintain hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct stock takes and monitor stock levels, informing the supervisor when low.
- Ensure overall hygiene and housekeeping standards are met.
