
Junior Marketing / Events Coordinator

- Salary: R6000-R10 000, with R2000 in cellphone or commuting expenses.
- Monday to Friday 8:00am - 16:30pm
- 2 additional 4-hour shifts per month on weekends or evenings as required.
- Occasional late shifts may be required to participate in event operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various social media platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Must have own vehicle.
- Handle telephonic enquiries and process event or food service bookings.
- Make outbound calls to prospective clients for office parties and corporate events.
- Perform general administrative duties and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Provide occasional personal assistant support, including scheduling and correspondence management.
- Interact with clients at the venue, ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Liaise with external management teams and operational partners for event coordination.
- Process invoices and payments for performers, venue hire, catering, and other vendor services.
- Coordinate relationships with vendors, including caterers, decorators, technical suppliers, and entertainment providers.
- Manage venue availability requests and resolve booking conflicts.
- Prepare quotations and proposals for client events and corporate functions.
- Oversee petty cash management for day-to-day operational expenses.
- Schedule casual staff for events, including technical crew, service personnel, and support staff.
- Supervise event setup and breakdown, ensuring venues are prepared according to client specifications.
- Oversee technical scheduling rosters for sound, lighting, and equipment needs.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure seamless event operations.
- Manage event logistics and respond to on-site client requirements during events.
- Support the social media team across all platforms to promote events and venue visibility.
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of customer databases.
- Identify and engage potential corporate clients for mid-sized corporate functions and events.
- Build and nurture direct relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
