Bulk Diesel Controller - ProspectonJOB SPECIFICATIONWe are seeking a commercially minded, detail-oriented Bulk Diesel Controller to join ourteam. This hands-on role combines analytical, operational, and problem-solving skills with aproactive approach to managing bulk diesel fuel—overseeing ordering, inventory,distribution, and reconciliation. The successful candidate will ensure cost-effectiveprocurement, regulatory compliance, fleet efficiency, and safe, timely fuel delivery, whilecollaborating across functions and contributing to the growth of our energy business.The job is based in Prospecton, Durban. Previous experience in logistics or energy sectorswill be advantageous.JOB SUMMARY:
  • Scheduling collections from refinery
  • Ensuring correct paperwork is issued to drivers
  • Planning of bulk drops to ensure sites have sufficient inventory
  • Inventory oversight at two sites
  • Taking orders and scheduling of bulk deliveries to customers
  • Fleet management and booking of maintenance
  • Supervision of drivers
  • Reconciliation of all bulk collections to deliveries
  • Ensuring procedures are in place for successful operations
  • Assisting despatch/ other departments
  • Supervising the forecourt during peak hours
  • Ensuring compliance with Health Environment Safety and Quality requirements
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Matric or Diploma
  • 2+ years experience in fuel logistics, fleet operations, bulk fuel management or a related industry
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping
  • Good communication and coordination abilities
  • Long hours may be required for fuel drops and receiving
