
Senior Clearing Controller

- Coordinate the movement of import cargo through the international transport chain, according to client requirements.
- Apply INCOTERMS knowledge effectively.
- Handle commercial, transport, carrier & depot, and statutory documentation and stamps.
- Manage various seafreight shipment types and insurance/claims processes.
- Interpret rate structures, national currencies, and international codes.
- Ensure accurate Reporting of Conveyances and Goods (RCG) compliance.
- Maintain high standards of data quality and financial acumen.
- Perform situation analysis, problem-solving, and client-focused decision-making.
- Matric plus a 2-year Freight Forwarding qualification (NQF level 4 or 5, or equivalent).
- 5–7 years recent import controlling experience within the clearing and forwarding industry.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a high pressure environment, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong time management skills.
