You'll take ownership of the full accounting function across a portfolio of small but growing businesses. This is a varied, involved role where your attention to detail and strong grasp of Xero will be valued from day one. You'll work closely with the owner/director and get exposure across industries.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities
- Process transactions, bank reconciliations, and journals in Xero
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Oversee VAT, PAYE, and SARS submissions
- Assist with annual financial statements
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and service providers
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Spot process gaps and suggest improvements
- Finance Degree / Diploma with recently completed SAIPA articles OR at least 3-5 years' experience in a senior bookkeeping/accounting role
- Proficient in Xero
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and statutory reporting
- Comfortable managing multiple entities
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
