- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed new vehicle sales targets.
- Actively sell vehicles while leading the team by example.
- Set clear, measurable goals for the sales team aligned with dealership objectives.
- Monitor and analyse departmental sales performance; adjust strategies where necessary.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maintain high performance and morale.
- Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales staff.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Ensure optimal stock levels based on customer demand and market trends.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions, trade-in campaigns, and finance deals.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources to maximize profitability.
- Generate and analyse sales reports to track progress and forecast performance.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new vehicle launches.
- Ensure all sales processes comply with dealership, manufacturer, and legal requirements.
- Oversee accurate completion of contracts, deal files, and finance documentation.
- Matric
- Minimum 5 years’ New Vehicle Sales within a franchised dealership.
- Assistant sales management experience (advantageous)
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive team performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and profitability.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean Criminal Record.
- PC literate (Dealer Management Systems, Excel, Word).
- Stable work history with solid references.
