Job Summary Duties:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed new vehicle sales targets.
  • Actively sell vehicles while leading the team by example.
  • Set clear, measurable goals for the sales team aligned with dealership objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse departmental sales performance; adjust strategies where necessary.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales staff.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels based on customer demand and market trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions, trade-in campaigns, and finance deals.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources to maximize profitability.
  • Generate and analyse sales reports to track progress and forecast performance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new vehicle launches.
  • Ensure all sales processes comply with dealership, manufacturer, and legal requirements.
  • Oversee accurate completion of contracts, deal files, and finance documentation.
Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Minimum 5 years’ New Vehicle Sales within a franchised dealership.
  • Assistant sales management experience (advantageous)
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive team performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and profitability.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean Criminal Record.
  • PC literate (Dealer Management Systems, Excel, Word).
  • Stable work history with solid references.
