Job SummaryOur client is a well-established and highly respected organisation in the aged care sector, committed to providing affordable, secure, and comfortable accommodation with compassionate care to qualifying retired individuals.They are seeking to appoint a business-minded and client-focused Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and oversee operations across multiple facilities.Package offered is commensurate with experience, skills, qualification and value-add contribution.Minimum Requirements:Education:
  • BCom Honours Degree (Essential)
Experience:
  • 10-15 years' proven experience in a CEO or senior General Management role
  • Demonstrated track record in strategic leadership, financial management, and commercial oversight, driving sustainable business growth
  • Experience in the aged care sector will be an advantage
  • Strong ability to engage with retired individuals in a respectful, caring, and empathetic manner
Key Responsibilities: * Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement the organisation's strategic plans, vision, and goals
  • Embed the mission, ethos, and values throughout all operational areas
  • Identify and mitigate potential business risks
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, efficiency, and care
  • Approve and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards
  • Lead the effective management of operations, finance, nursing, business development, and HR
  • Monitor industry trends and align organisational strategy accordingly
  • Drive optimisation of investments and resources
  • Review performance reports to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee resident relations and intervene in escalated matters
  • Manage communication with residents, families, and relevant community networks
  • Represent the organisation as the primary contact for the Board
  • Provide regular reports to the Board on stakeholder engagement and operational matters
  • Business Development:
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities
  • Present strategic proposals to the Board for consideration
  • Approve all contracts with residents, partners, and external suppliers
  • Financial Management:
  • Assume full accountability for organisational financial performance
  • Oversee budgets, reporting systems, and financial policies to ensure compliance with legislation and accounting standards
  • Review monthly financial reports, address discrepancies, and manage expenditure within approved parameters
  • Oversee cash flow management, debtor control, and supplier negotiations
  • In collaboration with Financial Accountant, prepare year-end financial statements for audit and act as liaison with external auditors
  • Present audited financial results and insights to the Board
  • Serve as the organisation's Prescribed Officer in compliance with governance requirements and legislation
  • Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure alignment of all operations to required quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
  • Represent the organisation in HR, legal, media, and reputational matters
  • Leadership & People Management:
  • Lead and inspire high-performing teams, fostering engagement and commitment
  • Ensure succession planning for key positions
  • Promote a learning and development culture
  • Resolve critical operational issues to ensure business continuity
  • Maintain adherence to corporate governance principles and ethical leadership standards

Salary Parameters:
  • CTC commensurate with experience, skills, qualification and value-add contribution.
  • Included in CTC : 9% Pension fund contribution / 5% employee contribution.
