- Relevant Payroll Qualification.
- 5 years proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Payroll systems.
- Excellent understanding of statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Manage and administer day-to-day procedure of the payrolls – salaries and wages
- Involved in internal and external audits
- Communicate on all levels of management.
- Manage time and attendance as well as biometrics
- Process wages for various payroll frequencies, import hours/allowances, and record earnings/deductions.
- Accurate capturing of all collected payroll data on the payroll system
- Maintain the payroll system, perform required backup according to the schedule required by legislation and the requirements of the company
- Manage all ad-hoc report requests
- Capture all new employees and terminated and maintain employee records
- Apply increases and manage leave and bonus provisions
- UIF administration and Online declarations.
- Supply new employees with all necessary induction documentation - Policies and procedures
- Be aware of any changes in BCEA and Labour Law, and the implementation thereof
- Keep the workforce profile updated for Employment Equity purposes
- Assist the HR Manager with ad-hoc duties
- Drafting of employment contracts
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, stay updated on payroll software, and collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Keep payroll documentation and procedures up-to-date.
- Carry out any other reasonable instructions.
