
Process Engineer 6 Months Contract

- Develop and design processes for the expansion project, including flow sheets, mass and energy balances, and process simulations.
- Ensure that process designs are optimized for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process designs into the overall project plan.
- Analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and reliability.
- Identify and implement process improvements and technological upgrades to enhance plant performance.
- Monitor and evaluate process performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases to resolve process-related issues and challenges.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for process failures or inefficiencies.
- Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for process engineering activities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment and integration of process engineering work with overall project objectives.
- Manage and supervise process engineering teams and subcontractors as needed.
- Ensure that all process designs and operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits for process systems and implement necessary controls.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among project teams.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for process designs, procedures, and changes.
- Generate and review process documentation, including operating procedures, commissioning reports, and technical specifications.
- Provide regular reports on process engineering activities, progress, and performance to project stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training programs for plant operators and maintenance personnel on new processes and systems.
- Ensure that all personnel are knowledgeable about process changes and operational procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for process-related queries and coordination with project teams and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Any ad hoc tasks as requested by Management.
- National Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
- At least 8 years of experience within mining, specifically mineral processing industry.
