Contract: Fixed-Term | On-Site | Competitive Total RemunerationAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Construction Manager with proven expertise in renewable energy infrastructure to lead on-site construction activities for a utility-scale solar PV project. Based in De Aar, the successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining safety and quality compliance, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to South Africa's renewable energy transition under one of the most respected IPPs on the continent.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & OversightOversee daily site construction activities and ensure adherence to technical specificationsLead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction schedules and deliverablesSupervise contractors, technicians, and site staff to ensure safe and efficient operationsSafety & Quality AssuranceEnforce compliance with safety protocols, site rules, and relevant legislationConduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and quality checksResolve on-site quality issues and monitor installation performanceStakeholder EngagementLiaise with engineers, consultants, contractors, clients, and local authoritiesProvide routine updates and escalate risks, delays, or challenges proactivelyChair construction progress meetings and contribute to solution developmentBudget & DocumentationMonitor and control construction-related expenses and resourcesProcess claims, change orders, and payment certificatesMaintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and compliance logsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical , or similar7+ years of construction management experience (minimum 3 years in renewable energy)OR: Diploma + 15 years' relevant project/construction experienceStrong knowledge of solar PV, wind, or battery storage systemsProven track record in leading large-scale EPC or IPP construction projectsExcellent leadership, team coordination, and stakeholder communication skillsProficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)Valid driver's license and ability to work full-time on-siteIdeal AttributesThe ideal candidate brings integrity, adaptability, and technical depth to the project.
