Data Streaming Platform Engineer - Midrand / Semi-Remote - R650 PHPOSITION INFO:Our client is currently seeking a Data Streaming Platform Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain high-performance data streaming infrastructure that fuels real-time decision-making across our global operations.You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to power connected vehicle systems, predictive maintenance, manufacturing analytics, and more. This is your chance to influence the data backbone of one of the world’s most innovative companies.Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Sound knowledge in Kotlin, Java or JavaScript or Python or C#
- Familiarity with Microservices Architectures, Cloud Architectures or Container Architectures e.g., Docker
- Experience in developing solutions on public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Experience with Container Orchestration Platforms e.g., Kubernetes
- Sound experience in developing backend applications and services
- Architecture and Interface Design
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team
- Experience of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible)
- Fit for business purpose mind-set, i.e., the solutions provided must meet the business goals
- Understanding of integration between different technologies
- Coordination between development and support environments
- Assisting with the business cases
- Requirements management:
