Are you an Electronics Engineer with a passion for innovation and problem-solving? Our client, a leading fabless IC design house based in Paarl, South Africa, is seeking an Applications Engineer ProxFusion to join their dynamic team.
As an Applications Engineer ProxFusion, you will play a crucial role in implementing cutting-edge sensor technology into various consumer electronics products for renowned clients such as Google, Phillips, JBL, Lenovo, Microsoft, and Bose. This is an exciting opportunity to work on pre-released products including headphones, mobile phones, wearables, PC peripherals, and home automation devices.Responsibilities:

Research and develop ideas for new products
Enhance the performance and efficiency of existing products
Embedded MCU programming of touch and proximity-controlled systems
Applications development
Product design
Prototype evaluation
Test development
Product release
Client/distributor interface and support of an international customer base
Occasional international travel

Essential Requirements:

M.Eng or B.Eng in Electronics
2-6 years of experience in a related field
High level of innovative thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
Analogue design and debug skills
Ability to work independently and carry projects from start to finish

Advantageous Skills:

Experience in embedded microprocessor development (e.g., Microchip PIC)
Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or other high-level languages
