Duties and responsibilities:
Student Life Programs:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee student events from concept to execution, ensuring student engagement and participation.
  • Develop creative and exciting event ideas that attract students and foster community spirit.
  • Work alongside allocated staff to provide guidance, direction, and support to students in need of counselling
  • Organize and coordinate enrichment activities that contribute to students' personal and academic growth.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement student events such as welcome week, cultural celebrations, leadership retreats, wellness initiatives, and social activities.
  • Collaborate with student organizations and clubs to support their events
  • Manage logistics for events including venue reservations, catering, equipment, setup/teardown, and budget tracking.
  • Promote events through digital media, print materials, and campus outreach.
  • Assess the effectiveness of events and gather feedback to inform future programming.
  • Maintain an up-to-date event calendar and coordinate scheduling to avoid conflicts.
  • Support the development of new initiatives that align with student needs and campus goals.
  • Supervise student event staff or volunteers as needed.
  • Ensure all events are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our mission, brand and values.
Public Relations & Sponsorship:
  • Work alongside the marketing team to secure sponsorships for events, marketing campaigns, and student-related initiatives.
  • Assist with public relations activities, promoting a positive image of and its services across social media and other platforms.
