This live-in position is ideal for a passionate culinary professional looking to work in a world-class bush environment while delivering exceptional guest dining experiences.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchenMaintain high culinary standards in food preparation and presentationSupport with menu planning, costing, and implementationEnsure proper stock control, storage, and rotation practicesOversee kitchen hygiene and maintain health and safety standardsTrain and guide junior kitchen staff as requiredAssist with staff rostering and kitchen administrationMaintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environmentContribute creatively to seasonal and special menusKey Requirements:Formal culinary training and relevant qualificationsMinimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar Sous Chef role, preferably in a luxury lodge or fine dining environmentStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage and motivate a small team under pressureExcellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operationsPassion for using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredientsWillingness to work in a remote bush location on a live-in basisTo apply, please send your CV to Kendrick Recruitment.
