Provide visionary leadership to advance the school’s academic programs and educational initiatives.
Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in curriculum development, instructional methods, and assessment practices.
Ensure alignment with educational standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices in independent school education.
To incorporate new technologies that aligns with the learning objectives and is appropriate for the learners’ skill level. Consider factors such as accessibility, ease of use, and relevance to their interests.
Administrative Oversight:
Manage day-to-day operations of the school.
Recruit, hire, and evaluate staff members to maintain a high-quality teaching and support staff.
Collaborate with administrative team members to oversee admissions, enrollment management, and extracurricular activities.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Community Engagement:
Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, alumni, donors, and community stakeholders.
Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the school, representing its values and achievements to external audiences.
Promote a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and equity within the school community.
Collaborate with parent associations, advisory boards, and other volunteer groups to enhance school-community partnerships.
Board Relations:
Work closely with the Board of Trustees to develop and execute strategic initiatives in alignment with the school’s mission and long-term goals.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Board on school operations, academic performance, and other relevant matters.
Support Board committees and task forces as needed, providing expertise and guidance on educational and administrative matters.
Qualifications
Degree in education (minimum Honours), educational leadership, or a related field
Must be SACE Registered
Prior experience in a senior leadership role within an independent school or educational institution.
Demonstrated success in academic leadership, strategic planning, and organisational management.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environment.
Knowledge of independent school governance structures, accreditation processes, and educational trends.
