The Area Sales Manager – will be responsible for driving revenue and margin growth through development, planning and execution of the sales strategy for our company's equipment for our South Africa, Gauteng region.Area Sales Manager – selling, training and Supporting our companies equipment:
  • Increase market share by finding, signing, and developing new distributors for our companies equipment; and by training, guiding and developing existing distributors to help grow their sales in the region
  • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to promote continued growth of our company's product portfolio and achieve sales targets
  • Manage sales leads through to closure and monitor against approved budgets to ensure financial results are on, or ideally above, target and implement plans to counteract deviation
  • Present and demonstrate our company's product range and associated benefits for customers and dealers.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and associated product supply milestones.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the region, industry, and, customer needs and require-ments.
  • Supervise implementation of new products and features.
  • Represent us in industry events and trade shows and collaborate with the Marketing Communications Group.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports and forecasts as required.
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE), Ethics & Compliance policies, etc.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Regional Manager.
Education, Experience, Training and Special Skills
  • Degree/Diploma Land Surveying (Geomatics) or Engineering Survey
  • 5 years commercial experience in Land Surveying, Mapping and analysis,
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, sense of urgency
  • Excellent English language skills written and verbal
  • Proven industry experience in selling product & services to end users or applied knowledge of implementing solutions in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of surveying equipment and the requirements of customers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions
  • Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic
  • Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
  • Willingness to travel for business
