- Computer Science degree or related formal qualification required
- 10+ years Java (8/11+) building & maintaining mission-critical systems
- 7+ years of production experience with RESTful web services
- 7+ years supporting mission-critical systems in the Cloud
- 5+ years building/running microservices architecture
- Experience delivering successful projects in senior/lead roles
- Agile frameworks (any) exposure
- Solid expertise in Jakarta/JEE standards
- Quarkus or Spring framework experience
- Proven experience with relational databases (Oracle, Postgres)
- Angular experience advantageous
- Industry leader and versatile communicator, with automotive domain knowledge and German language skills (advantageous)
- Extensive Java 8/11 or higher
- Building/maintaining mission-critical cloud-based systems and distributed architectures
- RESTful services, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), version control (Git, GitHub Enterprise)
- Production experience with databases
- Kafka for large-scale message processing
- Ops experience (2nd Line advantageous)
- Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS
- DevOps toolchain: Jira, Confluence (Atlassian Suite)
- Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Co-Pilot) for productivity
- Cloud architecture (Azure AKS), IAC (Terraform or equivalent), containerization
- Strategy, supervision, and team leadership
- Delivery of complex outcomes integrating several systems
- Strong negotiation, communication, problem solving, and critical thinking
- Payara, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace experience
- Automotive and cloud architecture (Azure AKS)
- Experience in technical supervision and industry representation
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
- Proven skills in coaching, training, and guiding junior colleagues
- Cross-cultural awareness and flexibility to support multiple projects
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design and develop scalable backend architectures
- Select and implement suitable programming languages, frameworks, and databases
- Develop, integrate, and optimize APIs, microservices, and backend components
- Ensure security, reliability, and high performance at scale
- Employ best practices for coding, testing, documentation, and database management
- Collaborate with QA, operations, and business analysts in requirement definition and quality assurance
- Support deployments, business continuity, troubleshooting, and system monitoring
- Mentor team members and provide training as needed
- Work within full DEVOPS environment and Agile methodologies
- Prepare and maintain all system and technical documentation
- Effective problem-solving and delivering workarounds per SLA
- Contribute to organizational knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
