The Repairs Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing drones to ensure optimal functionality and reliability. This technical role supports both internal teams and clients by performing diagnostics, repairs, and testing of drone systems and components. The position plays a critical part in ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in after-sales support.Key Responsibilities
1. Drone Maintenance and Repair
- Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of drones.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults and malfunctions in drone hardware and software.
- Ensure drones are restored to full functionality efficiently and effectively.
- Execute quality checks on drones before deployment or return to clients.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to report issues and recommend design improvements.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Assist the customer support team with resolving complex technical issues.
- Perform functional testing and calibration of drone systems to meet operational standards.
- Record test results and maintain detailed service reports.
- Manage and maintain spare parts and components inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and liaise with the Procurement Department to ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct internal training on drone maintenance practices and safety protocols.
- Develop and update repair manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with industry regulations and company standards.
- Follow and enforce safety procedures in the repair environment.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Department to manage budgets for spare parts, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Help ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining operational readiness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in drone repair and maintenance.
- Experience working with a variety of drone models and systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of drone hardware, electronics, and flight systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in drone firmware and software tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills for technical support and internal collaboration.
- Adaptability to evolving technology and working in fast-paced environments.
