About the job Project ManagerProject ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:Plan and execute projects to meet delivery, cost, and quality targetsLead contractor and subcontractor teams to meet plant requirementsMonitor project costs and scopeIdentify and support continuous improvement initiativesAssist in CAPEX application processesEnsure SHER and food safety compliance across all projectsManage Plant and general plant projectsProvide dairy processing expertise across the groupSupport the Plant Manager in improving production efficiency and reducing costsConduct technical audits on production lines with reporting and recommendationsParticipate in weekly performance meetings and action planningImprove production line reliability and availabilityTrain plant staff on operational best practicesConduct feasibility studies and resource optimisationSupport knowledge transfer and staff development through trainingProvide technical input for CAPEX planning (3-year horizon)Align technical project plans with company strategy and resource availabilityEnsure adherence to best practice standardsLiaise with engineering design firms, suppliers, and technology providersEnsure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and other statutory requirementsComply with the integrated Risk Management system in equipment design and operationsRequired Skills:B.Tech/Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (mechanical focus preferred)PMP Certification (advantageous)8-10 years of team and project management in FMCG environmentStrong administrative, planning, and organisational skillsExcellent leadership and project management capabilitiesAdvanced computer skills: MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD, ERP systemsStrong communication, management, and leadership abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyWillingness to work overtime as per plant requirementsIn-depth knowledge of dairy plant operations and equipmentProficient with PLCs, SCADA, and various control systemsSkilled in project management software and MS ProjectsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and decision-making skillsExperience supporting commercial strategies and product developmentAbility to design and implement operational solutionsProven ability to resolve engineering issues effectively and efficientlyTrack record of delivering capital projects within time and budgetSkilled in supplier negotiations and tender processesExperienced in setting project targets and managing budgetsProven success in managing complex engineering projects
