COMMERCIAL MANAGER (FRUIT INDUSTRY)

• Develop and manage commercial strategies for both domestic and international markets.
• Identify and establish new sales channels for stone fruit.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, customers, and key industry stakeholders.
• Ensure sustainable fruit supply to the packhouse through effective collaboration with growers.
• Analyse market data, pricing trends, and consumer behaviour to inform marketing and sales strategies.
• Negotiate contracts and secure profitable agreements for the company.
• Work closely with the finance team to compile budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
• Provide regular reports to the executive team on sales performance, market developments, and opportunities.

• Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in the fruit industry, with specific exposure to stone fruit.
• In-depth knowledge of both local and international fruit markets.
• Strong background in marketing and commercial management.
• Proven ability to conduct market research and analysis.
• Excellent financial and analytical skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
• Tertiary qualification in a commercial, marketing or equivalent field (e.g., BCom, or equivalent).
• Self-motivated, strategic thinker, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and abroad as needed.
• Experience with export logistics and international trade regulations.
• Existing relationships with clients and agents in the export industry.

• Experience in contract negotiation and risk management.
• Experience in the citrus industry.
