The Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily site activities, ensuring tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The role involves leading a team, maintaining strong communication across departments, and ensuring project milestones are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members to deliver on project goals.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor work schedules and resources.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Support and coach team members in technical tasks and problem-solving.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily coordination meetings.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the Project/Site Manager.
- Report incidents, delays, or resource issues promptly.
- Foster a collaborative, safety-first culture on site.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally within rail, engineering, or construction.
- Strong technical knowledge relevant to site operations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in rail/construction environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in rail, construction, or engineering industries.
- Relevant supervisory or safety training/certification.
- Basic first aid knowledge.
