Job Description :A leading industrial equipment company is seeking a highly experienced After Sales Manager to lead and oversee the service and maintenance operations for its forklift product division. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise, operational acumen, and a passion for driving service excellence.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all after-sales service, maintenance, and warranty operations for a national forklift fleet
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a technical team of approximately 47 staff (technicians, service controllers, and support staff)
  • Ensure service quality, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently met or exceeded
  • Manage workshop operations, field service teams, scheduling, and workflow planning
  • Monitor key service KPIs including response times, cost efficiency, parts usage, and SLA adherence
  • Manage parts inventory, procurement planning, and supplier relationships in conjunction with the procurement team
  • Use Autoline and Kerridge ERP systems to manage workflows, generate reporting, and track performance
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery processes, technician training, and client communication
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and sales to support customer retention and identify upselling opportunities
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements
  • Red Seal Trade Test Qualification (Auto Electrical, Diesel Mechanic, or Millwright)
  • NQF Level 6 qualification in Business Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of management experience leading technical service teams in the forklift, automotive, or heavy equipment sectors
  • Proven experience working with Autoline and Kerridge ERP systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent understanding of preventive maintenance strategies, field service coordination, and customer SLAs
  • High level of analytical and planning ability
