AdminReference Number: 7941Grading: C2EE PositionINTRODUCTION:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at our Remufacturing department in Germiston to drive strategic sourcing and supplier management within the heavy earth-moving equipment sector. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of machinery, parts, and services that support our operational excellence.QUALIFICATION:
  • 2-3 year Diploma/Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management
  • An Engineering qualification will be an advantage
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years supplier management experience
  • Understand B-BBEE scorecard and reporting
  • SAP experience beneficial
  • Strategic sourcing
  • Drafting and managing contracts
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
  • Strategic Supplier management experience
  • Supplier performance management
  • Contract negotiations
  • Drafting Request for Proposal/ tender documents and managing this process from initiation to contract award
  • Monitor and report on compliance to Procurement policies
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Experience of the Government Purchasing Framework will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of financial, legal and corporate social responsibility issues
  • Knowledge of the Mining and Construction environment will be advantageous
Skills/additional requirements:
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
  • APICS certification (advantageous)
  • B-BBEE compliance rules
JOB SPECIFICATION:
  • Develops resources to assist internal stakeholders in achieving overall financial benefits and savings e.g. new procedures (within policy guidelines), manuals or toolkits
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including contract compliance and service delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement plans.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
  • Compiles reports on Procurement statistics, savings and continuous improvement
  • Reports back on projects/drives/initiatives and provides metrics
