- 2-3 year Diploma/Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management
- An Engineering qualification will be an advantage
- 2-4 years supplier management experience
- Understand B-BBEE scorecard and reporting
- SAP experience beneficial
- Strategic sourcing
- Drafting and managing contracts
- Strategic Supplier management experience
- Supplier performance management
- Contract negotiations
- Drafting Request for Proposal/ tender documents and managing this process from initiation to contract award
- Monitor and report on compliance to Procurement policies
- Data analysis and reporting
- Experience of the Government Purchasing Framework will be an advantage
- Knowledge of financial, legal and corporate social responsibility issues
- Knowledge of the Mining and Construction environment will be advantageous

- APICS certification (advantageous)
- B-BBEE compliance rules
- Develops resources to assist internal stakeholders in achieving overall financial benefits and savings e.g. new procedures (within policy guidelines), manuals or toolkits
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including contract compliance and service delivery.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement plans.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Compiles reports on Procurement statistics, savings and continuous improvement
- Reports back on projects/drives/initiatives and provides metrics
