- Intermediary relationship management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IFAs, DFMs, wealth managers, and private banks.
- Conduct regular engagement meetings, fund reviews, and product training sessions.
- Act as the key point of contact for intermediaries, ensuring exceptional client service.
- Business development and sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive retail asset inflows.
- Deliver sales presentations at roadshows, client events, and one-on-one meetings.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall distribution strategy.
- Market and strategy support
- Stay informed on competitor products, market trends, and regulatory developments.
- Provide feedback from the market to support product development and positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver campaigns and value-added initiatives.
- Reporting and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and outcomes.
- Report regularly on business development progress to management.
- Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, FSCA regulations, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to develop and sustain long-term professional relationships.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical understanding of unit trusts, offshore feeders, balanced funds, equity funds, and model portfolios.
- Comfortable operating in a small, agile asset manager environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage own schedule.
- Able to communicate well in English and Afrikaans.

- Relevant bachelor's or business-related degree (finance, economics, business, or related).
- FAIS-compliant with RE5 completed.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in financial services sales, preferably in asset management.
- Established intermediary network within the retail investment market.
- Strong understanding of South African retail investment products and ASISA categories.
- Growth in AUM from the retail intermediary channel.
- Number of new intermediary relationships established and depth of existing relationships.
- Achievement of individual sales targets and contribution to distribution strategy.
- Compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
