Here you will find an environment conducive to helping you make the most of your abilities and skills.This Sector is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Technician (Structural Design).We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.The below listed responsibilities and requirements are assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previously two positions.Core PurposeTo assist the structural engineering team by preparing accurate rebar detailing, structural drawings, and models, conducting site inspections, and compiling technical documentation. This role plays a key part in ensuring successful project delivery through precision, quality assurance, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Key Performance Areas

Prepare accurate reinforcement detailing and structural layout drawings in compliance with project specifications and relevant codes.
Use AutoCAD and Revit to develop and update models and drawings for reinforced concrete and/or structural steel components.
Compile and maintain structural documentation, including reinforcement schedules, drawing registers, and inspection reports.
Ensure all documentation is properly filed, referenced, and quality checked.
Liaise with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to coordinate and integrate structural detailing within multidisciplinary teams.
Assist in responding to site queries and coordinating drawing revisions.
Ensure all work complies with internal draughting standards, engineering codes of practice, and client specifications.

Job RequirementsQualifications:

National Diploma (NDip) in Civil or Structural Engineering;
Recognised Draughting Certificate or equivalent.

Experience:

3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in structural draughting within the structural engineering environment.

Person RequirementsCore Competencies:

Knowledge and experience in working with AutoCAD;
Knowledge and experience in working with Probar 2D;
Knowledge and experience in working with Revit.

MS Office literacy;
Good interpersonal skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to use own initiative to identify priorities and organize own work;
