This is your opportunity to enter the dynamic, fast-growing and competitive world of international fruit sales and marketing!A leading South African exporter of premium fresh fruit has a graduate-level internship opportunity available for a Licensing Data Administrator Intern to join their dynamic team. This role supports the migration and clean-up of legacy data in preparation for integration into new licensing systems. The successful candidate will standardise, validate, and complete records to ensure they are accurate, consistent, and usable across the business. This position is based in Stellenbosch and reports to the Licensing Coordinator.This internship forms part of the Fresh Produce Exporters Forum (FPEF) Graduate Placement Programme, which places high-calibre graduates in junior commercial, logistics and technical roles at various South African fruit export companies for one year, potentially leading to long-term career opportunities.Role Purpose:Support the migration and clean-up of legacy data for integration into new licensing systems. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across operational platforms.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, clean, and reformat spreadsheet data for import into new operational databases/systems.
  • Capture, validate, and reconcile licensing records; identify gaps or inconsistencies and resolve them with stakeholders.
  • Maintain reference lists, codes, and lookups to ensure consistent data standards.
  • Run basic checks/reports to confirm data quality after imports (e.g., duplicates, missing fields, logic breaks).
  • Document simple procedures and mapping rules for repeatable migration steps.
  • Track progress with clear status notes and audit trails.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and structured, logical thinking, especially when performing repetitive tasks.
  • Advanced Excel skills (filters, lookups, text functions, pivots a plus).
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and following defined mapping rules.
  • Clear written communication and the confidence to query unclear inputs.
  • Studying towards or recently completed a diploma/degree in Information Systems, Data/Business Analytics, Admin, or similar (or equivalent practical experience).
  • BEE, SA citizen
  • under 30 years of age.
Added Advantage:
  • Exposure to any database or data tools (SQL, Access, Power Query, Power BI, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of data models (tables, keys, relationships) and data validation.
  • Experience creating simple data quality checks or dashboards.
