- Engineered Solar Solutions: The company designs and implements tailored Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to meet specific client needs, promoting the use of low-cost, clean power to stabilize energy demands and enhance sustainability.
- Energy Management Metering and Utilities: the company provides data-driven insights to help clients reduce energy consumption and costs through smart metering and monitoring services.
- Power Purchase Agreements and Incentive Funding: The company assists clients in maximizing tax benefits and making smart energy investments through structured agreements and funding options.
- Operations and Maintenance: The company ensures the longevity and efficiency of energy systems through proactive maintenance and 24/7 system monitoring.
- Conduct high-level presentations to C-suite executives, effectively communicating the companies value proposition.
- Engage in consultative selling, focusing on providing tailored energy optimization solutions rather than focusing on the solution products.
- Great listening skills: Listen to client requirements and perform comprehensive needs analysis to identify energy efficiency opportunities. (energy pain points that can be addressed)
- Demonstrate the cost-saving benefits of the companys solutions, aligning them with clients' Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the renewable energy sector. (Nice to have, but by no means a deal breaker)
- Consultative selling ability, with a strong focus on listening to client needs and identifying energy efficiency opportunities. (essential)
- Prior experience engaging with C-suite executives and conducting high-level sales presentations. (essential)
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives. (essential)
- Strong analytical skills to conduct detailed needs assessments and develop customised solutions. (essential)
- Must have an interest in learning about the client product solutions. Researching & understanding energy optimisation and sustainability practices. (essential)
- Ability to demonstrate financial benefits of the companys solutions, aligning with clients ESG goals. (end goal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Location: Must be based in Johannesburg, South Africa, or willing to relocate.
- Education: A business degree or diploma in: sales/marketing , engineering, energy management, or sustainability is advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with a technical product solution / Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and energy management solutions is a plus. (not essential, we are looking for a sales professional who understands solution selling.)
