An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic New Business / Sales Manager to lead a telesales team within the short-term motor insurance space. This position reports to the Senior Sales Manager and is focused on driving performance, developing people, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
The role requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about coaching, motivating, and building high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of telesales supervisors and sales professionals.
- Ensure sales targets and quality standards are achieved by monitoring daily performance and course correcting where required.
- Provide leadership that drives team alignment to company vision and objectives.
- Facilitate team meetings that encourage collaboration and collective problem-solving.
- Manage the performance of supervisors and implement disciplinary processes where necessary.
- Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements.
- Use data-driven insights to assess call effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Motivate, guide, and inspire the team to deliver consistent performance.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Target-driven and resilient under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to influence and motivate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data analysis and process optimisation skills.
- Matric essential.
- Completed degree from a recognised tertiary institution (Honours in Commerce, Finance, CIMA, or BSc Honours in Mathematics/Statistics advantageous).
- Proven ability to work in a high-paced sales environment and meet targets.
- Previous sales, operations, or customer service experience an advantage.
- Fluent in English with excellent articulation and a neutral accent.
