Support Data Engineer - Johannesburg - R450k to R650k per annumPOSITION INFO:A leading financial institution committed to innovation, integrity, and impact. As they expand their data-driven decision-making capabilities, they are seeking a Support Data Engineer to join their growing team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and reliability of data infrastructure and platforms.Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data integration systems
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and DevOps to ensure data availability and integrity
Provide technical support for batch jobs and real-time data streaming
Assist in improving data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Document support processes and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams

Experience and Qualifications:

3 years’ experience in a Data

, DataOps, or Technical Support role * Solid understanding of SQL and data warehousing concepts

Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, DBT, Informatica)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience in the financial industry or working with financial datasets (advantageous)
Python or Shell scripting experience
Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
