Job Description :A Property Accountant is needed urgently for a property management company to oversee the financial plans and policies, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare timely financial reports. As the company is still in its early stages and experiencing active growth, the role will require adaptability and a proactive approach to support its expansion. Experience with MDA Property Systems software is essential. This is a fixed term contract of 6 months, temp to potentially perm for the right fit, full-time in-office with micro flexible hours working Mon - Fri (6am - 3pm; 7am - 4pm; 8am - 5pm).Responsibilities:Prepare monthly accrual schedule for review by Financial Manager.Review and approve cashbook reconciliation performed by creditors.Assist with the review, approval and posting of capture expenses.Review and approve pre-billing checks performed by debtors.Assist with the upload of budgets after approval.Perform income statement and balance sheet review.Perform reallocation journals to ensure accuracy of financial reports.Audit Support: Assist external auditors in conducting financial audits of real estate properties.Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and support during audits.Assist with developing and implementing accounting procedures by analysing current procedures and recommending changes.Assist in preparing annual budgets.Ensure vat compliance with entries performed by creditors.Review of filing duties performed by the financial administrator, ensuring that invoices and supporting documentation are filed timeously and easily accessible.Assisting with any additional ad-hoc duties.Requirements

Grade 12

Degree or ND in Accounting or at least 8 years' experience

Experience working in the property industry
Tech savvy

Experienced on MS Office Suite and MDA (non negotiable)
