Reports to: Regional Director - West & Central Africa, Microgrid & ESSCompany OverviewA leader in hybrid renewable energy, our client specializes in turnkey microgrid systems that integrate solar PV, battery storage, diesel/HFO generators, and smart EMS software to deliver resilient energy solutions across commercial, industrial, mining, and community electrification projects in Africa.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Ownership (40%) - End-to-end sales: prospecting, solution design coordination, proposal preparation, and contract closure; meet an annual quota of ? USD 5 million.Market Development (20%) - Map off-grid/weak-grid zones, mining operations, IPPs, DISCOs, and emerging clusters; maintain a rolling pipeline forecast.Solution Scoping (15%) - Collaborate with engineers to size hybrid systems (PV/ESS/genset), create SLDs, perform yield simulations, and deliver LCOE/IRR/payback models.Financing & Structuring (10%) - Engage with DFIs, leasing firms, and banks to structure CAPEX, BOOT, or PPA models and facilitate export credit arrangements.Stakeholder Engagement (10%) - Build and maintain key relationships with NERC, REA, DISCOs, EPCs, and local authorities to ensure compliance and project success.Post-Sales Coordination (5%) - Ensure smooth handover to implementation and service teams; capture Voice of the Customer (VoC) for continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Business (MBA preferred).5+ years in solution-based energy sales in Nigeria, with a focus on microgrids, solar EPC, hybrid gensets, or utility-scale PV.Proven success in closing deals ? USD 2 million, including public tenders and board approvals.Strong relationships with DISCOs, telco towercos, mining firms, and DFIs (e.g., AfDB, BOI).In-depth knowledge of NERC regulations, PPA models, grid codes, and import logistics.Technical fluency in tools like PVSyst, Helioscope, HOMER, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).Excellent communication in English; Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo a plus.Must be a Nigerian citizen or permanent resident; nationwide travel 40-60% required.What's OfferedBase salary + uncapped commissions + annual bonus.Company vehicle or allowance, plus fuel support.World-class training at the global HQ (technical & commercial tracks).JelocorpRecruiter
