- Revenue recognition and Management: Invoice and recovery amounts due per agreements with property owners and other stakeholders.
- Payments and Cash book management: Process and verify all supplier, customer, and other business payments in line with company policies and agreed terms. Maintain and update the cash book daily, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled to bank statements.
- Financial records: Record, classify, and reconcile all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Financial control and Balance sheet integrity: Monitor and maintain the integrity of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring that asset and liability values are accurate, valid, and compliant with accounting standards.
- Tax Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring all submissions are made in accordance with deadlines.
- Management accounts: Prepare and review the monthly performance and audit all balance sheet accounts
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, manage risk assessments, and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Audit Management: Coordinate and manage both internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided and audit findings are addressed promptly.
- Cost Management: Analyze the company’s financial performance against budget and goals, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and building strong financial relationships.
- Financial System Optimization: Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools that improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and management.
- Revenue and Profitability Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue streams and profitability, providing insights into supporting strategic decisions.
- Inter group activities: Assist with reviewing financial data and information and financial management with broader group structure.
- At least 3 years’ working experience as Accountant
- At least 3 years’ experience managing staff.
- At least 5 years' experience within Finance department, with related SARS and statutory submissions
- Experience in travel industry or similar environment will be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Xero accounting and import files from banks
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel
- SARS and statutory submissions
- CIPC submissions and FICA regulations
