- Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Essential)
- Government Certificate of Competency (Factories or Mines & Works) (Essential)
- Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
- MBA, MBL, or Postgraduate Qualification in Engineering/Operations Management (Advantageous)
- 15+ years in chemical, metallurgical, or heavy industrial plants (sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, smelters, refineries, etc.)
- 8+ years in senior leadership within maintenance or engineering
- Proven success in CAPEX projects >R50 million in a processing plant context
- Demonstrated expertise in plant reliability, statutory inspections, and shutdown execution
- Strong experience engaging with regulators, unions, and OEMs in high-risk environments
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies for critical acid plant infrastructure
- Enhance plant reliabilitythrough predictive maintenance and asset integrity management
- Lead CAPEX and operational projects, ensuring risk control and contractor performance
- Ensure engineering governance and regulatory compliance
- Oversee shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance management
- Optimize OPEX and CAPEX budgets, driving cost-saving initiatives
- Leadership role driving critical infrastructure improvements
