Our client in the ICT industry is currently looking for a Business Development Manager, in Midrand, Johannesburg.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the achievement of the target associated with the Solution Tower in the business within the company.
  • This role is key to supporting the sales organisations by working with Customers and Account Teams, developing solutions, and estimating levels of effort for delivering Advisory, Planning, Design and Implementation (PDI), and Managed Services, as well as providing timely forecasting to the Delivery organisation for resource planning.
  • Our BDM team members identify, and position new and innovative service offerings and solutions based on observed marketplace demands and trends. You will position the Services portfolio of solutions to our sales teams, supporting sales teams with services and solutions with value propositions for client opportunities. You will work with services line management and Customer Experience Product Management (CX PM) teams in supporting the services lifecycle requirements, ensuring consistent and accurate scoping of client engagements. You will track and manage continuous pipeline transparency of services and solutions for client opportunities and collaborate amongst team members to establish standard methodologies for developing and supporting the sale of the company’s services and solutions.
  • Our BDM team members have deep knowledge into the company’s XXX portfolio as well as the wider services portfolio. Team members are encouraged to demonstrate this knowledge to develop solutions and scope service opportunities based on customer/sales requirements across all vertical market environments.
  • You are an independent self-starter who is proactive and multi-tasking with a program management mindset to resolve conflicts. You have excellent verbal and written skills in communicating and positioning the Services business and operational value and capabilities to the Client Executive audience. You have a consistent record of developing and winning technology solutions contracts in the enterprise and public sector market segments. In that capacity, you will:
  • Communicate the portfolio positioning and value to target client segments and stakeholders.
  • Identify & position services such as XXX:
  • Assist with creating and delivering quotes and proposals for Customers with accurate deliverable prioritisation, sizing, and pricing.
  • Maintain a tight interlock with the Customer Success and Business Development teams supporting other architectures to ensure that a single, consistent engagement process is followed across all teams and solution areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups (sales, product management, operations, marketing) to position and sell Advisory, PDI, and Managed Services.
  • Support sales in building the pipeline and forecasting bookings for opportunities that align with the company’s strategy and priorities and allow the delivery organisation to prepare for delivery resources.
  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings.
  • Engage with Customer Experience (CX) Delivery teams to ensure consistent and accurate scoping of client delivery engagements.
  • Document all in-flight opportunities for accurate forecasting.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience Delivering Solution Led Sales.
  • 5+ years in sales support/solution development/business development role.
  • Strong knowledge across a broad range of technology solutions related to Security, including Cloud, IoT, Collaboration, Mobility, R&S, Data Centre, Software etc.
  • BSc Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the Professional Services business.
  • Demonstrated track record of pursuing and leading services engagements of $1M+.
  • Digital certifications would be advantageous.
  • Proven track record of developing & effectively implementing sales solutions to meet business needs & drive business results.
  • Extensive business acumen.
  • Team management.
  • Managing complex sales and responding to complex tenders.
  • Presenting value-adding ICT Solutions & offerings.
  • Solid record of relationship building & management.
Remuneration:
  • Up to R1.2 mil per annum dependent on qualification and experience.
