Somerset West: My client, a popular eatery known for its welcoming atmosphere and innovative café-style meals, is seeking to appoint a dedicated Assistant Baker to support the Head Baker in producing daily baked goods for the restaurant.
This role requires someone who is genuinely passionate about baking and committed to working hard to grow into the next level of their culinary career.Criteria & Responsibilities include:

Proven experience and a solid track record in a similar baking role
Passion and flair for baking, with creativity and innovation in recipe ideas
Strong knowledge of café-style baked offerings
Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards in food preparation
Ability to follow direction while working efficiently and independently
Good communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork
Experience in stock control, inventory management, and cost control an advantage
Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
Must reside in the Somerset West area and have own reliable transport
Prepared to work from 06:30 – 18:30 daily, with one day off per week

Note that consideration will only be given to applicants who have experience in an equal role in the restaurant industry and who are currently resident in the Somerset Area.
