They are currently seeking a talented individual to join their team as the Exports Logistics Manager. In this Durban-based role, your key focus will be on strategic planning and optimization of the Group export function.With a main focus on African markets, this role plays a pivotal part in management of efficient and cost-effective logistics execution throughout the export supply chain with key focus on developing and embedding best practices in all facets. The role includes exposure to the import function as well.Whats on offer?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

A commercial, logistics or supply chain-focused Bachelors degree
At least 5 years of experience in logistics/warehousing/supply chain, with exports/imports experience and 3 years at a management level (primary product commodity experience is an advantage)
Sound shipping knowledge and experience with an excellent understanding of charter parties and containerized shipping, and INCO2020 terms
Broad knowledge in acquisition and agile adherence to changes in inter-country legislation or regulations, a strong understanding of logistics and the supply chain environment, including control towers
Proven experience with warehousing, handling and storage options, container packing, stock control
Experience in cross border deliveries within the African continent, customs formalities, bonds, and acquittals, port work and loading bulk as well as container vessels in particular via African ports, freight forwarding, and transportation are all highly desirable
Excellent leadership, management, and influencing skills
Highly developed oral and written communication skills working in a decentralized matrix environment.
