With a focus on innovation, service delivery, and sustainable development, we support infrastructure and land reform projects through high-quality data and financial integrity.Job PurposeTo provide accurate and timely financial data, manage general accounting functions, and support the Finance Executive in monthly reporting, reconciliations, and project-related accounting tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.Bookkeeping, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
Support multi-currency and foreign exchange accounting
Process and maintain accounting records on Pastel Partner.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Monitor project budgets and support financial project reporting.
Assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with SARS regulations.
Support year-end audits and prepare audit schedules as required.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Process supplier payments and maintain effective cash flow management to ensure all vendor relationships are managed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular account reconciliations and provide timely reports on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and contribute to the continuous development of the accounting function.
· Ensure adherence to internal policies and accounting standards.· Provide support to Travel Desk as required.· Assist with ISO Compliance and ESG Reporting· Any other ad hoc tasks including HC AdministrationMinimum Requirements· Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting or Finance.· Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles· 1–5 years relevant accounting experience.· Proficiency in Pastel Partner (Sage 50c) accounting software; Sage INTACCT and MS Office.· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).· Knowledge of South African and International tax and compliance regulations.· High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.· Ability to work independently and within a team in a deadline-driven environment.· Knowledge of IFRS for Sme’s and Full IFRSPreferred Attributes· Experience in a project-based or services industry is advantageous.· Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.· Eagerness to learn and grow within a finance team.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Problem solving skills· Organised, focused and performance driven· Deadline orientated· Must be able to sustain pressure and be self-motivated· Must be able to manage time, projects and information· French speaking will be advantageousRemunerationMarket-related salary based on experience.APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON THE 27th of AUGUST 2025.
